Sea World

A few weeks ago, we made our way down to San Diego to go to Sea World. I hadn't been there since I was a kid, and neither had Steve. We had a ton of fun and Alexa just loved it! Her favorite part was seeing Elmo. She is obsessed with Elmo. When Elmo was performing she would not take her eyes off of him even for a second. It's super cute.

Making Hair Bows

I decided to get creative an attempt to make Alexa some hair bows (cause she is almost 10months with still NO HAIR!) I'm actually quite proud of myself because I am not a very crafty person. Here are a few that I made:

The Coons

So we have a family of raccoons that hang out on our porch. The lady who lives above us feeds them cat food. These ones are the cute ones. There is like 5 more that come over on occasion. They are the mean ones though. We can hear them fighting and hissing all night long. Our neighbor will bust out her super-soaker and spray the mean guys down. It's sortof funny. At first, I hated them, what if the were to bite me? But now I'm used to them, they mind there own business and they provide alot of entertainment. We open our sliding window and watch as people walk by. It's hilarious when we see a grown man so frightened he runs the other direction. Everyone is so scared of them. I know I ran the other direction the first time I saw them.

Trunk or Treat

Our little monster Alexa. Isn't she the cutest monster you have ever seen? We had to go show her off at our wards Trick or Treat Halloween party.

We taught her how to High 5. She's so smart!

Alexa and Roman

Can I say how much I love my babysitter here in California??!! She is wonderful! She also has a little baby. His name is Roman, and he is 1 week younger than Alexa. He is also the happiest little thing. They just entertain each other all day long. Alexa loves it over there. Every time I walk her up to the door, her legs start kicking with excitement. I almost think she likes it there more than she likes it at home. :(
Alison (our sitter) is so fun. She has dared to take both of them to the zoo, and here are a few pics of them at the zoo. It looks like they are having so much fun.

Alison also has a cat, which Alexa loves! I'm not a huge cat fan, but this cat I am. It's actually friendly! She will sprawl out next to me when I walk in for me to pet her. So cute! Makes me miss Mojo so much! I know Alexa would have so much fun with him right now. Hopefully by the end of the year, we can be in a new place that allows dogs.

Her first time on a carousal. I guess she loved it. Roman didn't at all, she said he was so scared he physically was shaking. Alexa is really fearless. I think she's gonna be a tough little cookie! It sort of makes me sad, that she's experiencing these things for the first time with someone else, but it makes me happy that someone else cares about her enough to do these things and take pics for me so I can see it.

Alexa teaching Roman how to use a binky.

Tiger Woods

So at work yesterday, Tiger Woods came into my gym to workout! It was crazy, because he came in by himself, and worked out like any of us, with no one gaulking at him or bothering him. I would think, being the billionaire he is, he would have his own gym and trainer. But I guess famous people really are just like us.
Steve is Tiger's #1 fan. I wanted to get his autograph so bad for him, but I was training a client and also the reason he comes into our gym occasionally is because no one bothers him. So I tried to snap of photo of him on my phone without him noticing. It didn't turn out well, but Steve still loved it. He was so jealous, but it made his day! And I promised him if I ever see him again, I will get his autograph, even if it cost me my job! ;)

So I have fallen behind quite a bit on this blog, I haven't updated anything all summer. So here is a brief wrap-up of our summer of '09.......

On Father's Day we made our way up to Venice Beach. Steve had never been, and I thought he'd enjoy it. It's a fun place, a bit dirty, but entertaining. We took a few pictures at the Venice Canals. So beautiful, I'd love to live there.

This summer, I have been spoiled with visitors. It seemed every other weekend I had a friend coming in town. It was so much fun!! First Kortney and her daughter Addie came down. Kortney bought matching outfits for Addie and Alexa, so we could get some cute pictures, but that was nearly impossible. This was the best picture we could get of both of them..... Oh well, we had a lot of fun!

We took them to the duck park down the street from our house.

Trying really hard to get a decent photo of all 4 of us. As you can see, it wasn't working too well.....

We gave up and just settled for a pic with just the 2 of us.

Alexa loves being in the water. We'll have her swimming by next year!!

Then Julie came down. I can't believe how much Alexa loves her! She had Alexa laughing hysterically the whole weekend. Here's a few pics of us at the beach.

Alexa's first time in the ocean and playing in the sound. As you can see, she loved every minute of it.

Do you see the number of rolls on her thighs?? I love it!!

Aubrey came down 2 times this summer. We met up with Melinda for a day of beach fun. Here's a picture of all of the girls, even little Alexa.

She just wanted to be one of the girls. Watching us get ready.

For my 28th birthday, Steve took me to Disneyland. It was so much fun! I love living so close to everything!!
Ya, we took a picture of the picture so we didn't have to buy our own. Classy!!! And I got to hear Steve scream like a little girl. Hilarious!!

When Steve went to Utah in August to visit Kai and Bella, his parents were sweet enough to get pictures done for the family. But unfortunately the kids weren't cooperating very well. Steve will probably be mad at me for posting them, but I think they are hilarious! The rest of his family's pictures turned out awesome, but our family not so much. You be the judge........

This one turned out really cute of all the cousins.

When Steve went to Utah for a full week, he left his car (it's really my car, but he's such a sweet husband he lets me drive the new car and he drives this one) parked under the trees where every bird in Orange County perches at night. By the time he got home, the car was covered in white bird poo. It was so gross that we just had to take pictures. We were scared to even drive it to the car wash because our visibility was very limited. We were too embarrassed to take it to a car wash for someone else to clean, so we cleaned it ourselves. SO GROSS!!! You should have seen the looks we were getting driving down the road.

4th of July fun

4th of july this year was a lot of fun. Steve actually had the entire day off, it was a miracle. We started the day off at our pool, because Steve desperately needed some color on his ghostly white skin, then we headed out to Huntington Beach for 4th of July celebrations. It was a mad-house there! But we were smart ,we brought Alexa's exersaucer and she played in that all night, she loves that thing!! The firework show was awesome, shot off from the pier. I thought Alexa was going to be frightened, but she was fascinated, couldn't take her eyes off of them.

So Alexa hates the sun in her eyes, so we got her these adorable sunglasses. Most babies would take them right off, but not Alexa, she loves them!! She definately steals the show everywhere we go. She gets so much attention! She smiles and laughs at anyone who talks to her, she's the bast baby in the world and we just love her to pieces!!
